1st Round IVF

After reading an article in a magazine about the links between acupuncture and fertility treatment I made an appointment with Lena. As I had been experiencing difficulties in becoming pregnant for some time I decided to try this alongside the conventional medications I was already prescribed. At this stage I was barely managing to cope with the routines of day to day life and my stress levels were becoming uncontrollable. Within just a few short weeks of treatment my energy levels rose, I was able to deal with the ups and downs of fertility treatment in a much more positive way and felt huge benefits emotionally. Following my first cycle of IVF and the complementary acupuncture I received from Lena throughout I am now pregnant and looking forward to the coming months. Acupuncture certainly had a huge impact on me and I don't think I would have got this far without it and the support Lena so willingly provided.

Conceived Naturally

After experiencing difficulties in becoming pregnant and after a failed IVF attempt. I read about the benefits of acupuncture in connection with IVF and approached Lena to have discussions about a course of acupuncture in preparation for my next IVF treatment. Lena looked at all aspects of my life and in addition to the acupuncture treatments Lena recommended dietary changes as well, I found this to beneficial by increasing my energy levels, significantly reducing my stress levels and making feel a lot more positive and confident about the future and my second attempt at IVF. Lena was understanding of the stress and strains that I was going through and fully explained what each treatment was designed to do.
After around 2 months of treatments (weekly sessions), I managed to fall pregnant naturally and I am now expecting my first child in May. I also found the treatments useful in alleviating some of the early symptoms of pregnancy as well as providing confidence that I would be able to carry full term. Lena was always helpful and understand and I believe that her acupuncture treatments were a huge contributing factor in falling pregnant naturally. I would have no hesitation in approaching Lena in the future for treatments be it for fertility or something else and would recommend it to people who are currently where I was.

1st Round IVF

Prior to starting my IVF treatment last year I discovered that acupuncture was said to be one of the best ways to prepare for IVF. I therefore looked into acupuncture available in Edinburgh and chose Lena due to her fantastic reputation for treating fertility issues. I began my sessions with Lena 3 months prior to starting my treatment and each time I went to see Lena. No matter what my concerns and anxieties were, I would come away feeling relaxed and positive. This I feel was due to Lena's extensive knowledge of fertility issues, her personality and of course her acupuncture treatment skills.

I am delighted to say that after my first course of IVF I have successfully become pregnant. I definitely feel that acupuncture with Lena has been a been significant factor in my success and the fact that I have never felt so healthy.

Having never experienced acupuncture before I would not hesitate to use it again and would highly recommend Lena to anybody considering acupuncture.
