Conditions
Due to new rules set by the Committee of Advertising Practise (CAP), acupuncturists are no longer allowed to advertise the range of conditions that acupuncture can treat. Their argument is that if the treatment of the condition in question has not been proven to be effective in a randomised, double-blind clinical trial, then there should be no written material of it’s efficacy in that area. This leaves a mere handful of conditions that we are allowed to advertise:
- Back pain (short-lived)
- Dental pain
- Nausea and Vomiting
This is has caused an outrage amongst acupuncturists whom have witnessed the benefits of this well-established treatment in a variety of conditions that do no respond to conventional treatments alone.
If you are reading this, I can presume that you are an open-minded and intelligent individual who has more than likely done quite extensive research into the possible benefits of treatment. For those of you who would like some further reading, please follow the following link.
If you have a condition that you would like to enquire if acupuncture can be helpful for, you are welcome to phone or email me and I will answer your query within 2 working days.

Hi Jackie, thanks for your comment. Cold hips are a sign of Kidney Yang deficiency nd it is often seen with other symptoms such as achy knees, frequent urination and feeling cold to the core. It can be straight forward to treat but results are seen more quickly if you combine the acupuncture with some dietary advice like balancing the temp of your food (always eating and drinking energeticaly hot and cold food). I hope this helps with your query. All the best, Lena
